Just a little note about the First pajamas.
A friend bought them back for me
They are a nice sand color with Diamond and a little crest on the pocket and the leg of the pant. They are cotton and comfortable.^
MUCH better than the polyester EK ones!
now if only they could get their act together on food and service.

I agree I find their PJ the most comfortable of the lot that I usually get to wear (LH, SQ, EK).
While I like their selection of AVOD TV programs, I wish they had a larger choice of films.

tinkybelle, that is a nice gift that you should get some use out of, in our current weather. Please update this thread when you procure the QR PJs!
The Gulf Air PJs are nice enough, cotton, a little Star Trekky with the V-neck and the sizings are quite small/tight, but comfy. Hopefully QR can pick up some of the GF slack sometime.
I'd like to know if any F pax get slippers in an amenity kit, instead of the socks usually given in the small GF amenity kit.

On Etihad on the AUH-YYZ sector we were given white cotton slippers of the sort one gets in hotels. A welcome change from socks!

We had nice cotton PJs in EK F on a recent JFK-DXB flight. They were a different style than previous ones -- just a slip on shirt with an Emirates crest near the hemline of the shirt. Nothing on the pants. Very comfortable, and the FA offered to let me keep them, so I did. (One of the best FAs ever, on any airline, btw).
We also got plain brown hotel-like slippers with a discrete "Emirates" tag.
EDITED: On inspection the PJs were actually a cotton / polyester blend ! But fairly comfortable nonetheless.
You can buy a pretty good ones for $50-$80 at Bloomingdale's.

I think you can always buy anything if you want it enough.
some of us just like collectables with names on them.
especially exclusive things that not everyone can acquire freely:cool:
and free -
even though we are sometimes paying $US13000 for the priviledge:(

Agree w/ Tinkybelle, but in my old age I have now started to cull my collection of airline trinkets. I'm too lazy to sell them on E-Bay so I just give things like amenity kits, the Braun alarm clocks, playing cards, marble paperweights, PJ's, the odd teaspoon or fork (:D) , etc to children that I know will cherish them (but not to my kids - because that would just increase the amount of unstored junk in my house).
The only thing I think I'm going to keep is an old 80's Emirates "air hostess" cap, complete with the faux muslin faux scarf, which I won during a poker game w/ it's owner during a DXB stopover during the early days of EK. Those were the days!

I personally think an elaboration on that story deserves its own thread!

Agreed, but hilarity would not ensue if Mrs. PhlyingRPh were to read it. :D

It is always amusing to hear how far some FAs go to please their customers l all the way (???)... Best to be a gentleman! :D

Typically Lebanese....Headdress = humblness of Arabian culture but Mini = brashness of the west - ahh good old Beirut.... best of both worlds.

CJ, Beirut misses you ;)... SQ PJs are about all I have; old and new style. Flown on QR a few times to India and the Far East but never got any PJs but then again, it was always in business class to those destinations.

Etihad guests, have you seen any new or good trinkets onboard lately?
PJs out of the question as it's a day flight but it would be fun to have a memento. :)
Slippers? :)
