AA flight 2299 is scheduled as a 737 daily to SKB from MIA. AA2051 is a 757 flying seasonally JFK-SKB. If you mean from SJU no such luck. johannesj Jun 18, 07, 7:44 pm jerry a. laska is spot on, however I would like to add US Airway 1693 out of Charlotte North Carolina to the list. Hey freeflyin, when are you going to be in SKB - I should be here until the 2nd week of July. freeflyin Jun 18, 07, 8:56 pm Thanks for the info-apparently my problem was searching specific days of the week-I was only finding smaller aircraft on the dates I was searching.I'll be expanding my choices to check out other options. My target dates are late January and early February from BWI or IAD jerry a. laska Jun 19, 07, 5:28 pm Thanks for the info-apparently my problem was searching specific days of the week-I was only finding smaller aircraft on the dates I was searching.I'll be expanding my choices to check out other options. My target dates are late January and early February from BWI or IAD Best bet then will probably be IAD or DCA (on a 737) to MIA or BWI (on a 757) to MIA otherwise small plane it to JFK for the direct flight to SKB. We went last year and again this year. The facility has gone downhill fast. When we left last year I placed a ten dollar bill above the TV cabinet. We requested the same suite this year.....414....ocean view, top dollar, over $500 per night. The ten dollar bill was still there.....a year later. The deficiencies were endless. I documented, with pictures....108 items that required immediate attention. I put the pics on a flash drive 2 days before our departure and dropped it off at the front desk. Later that day I met with the project manager. He acknowledged the problems. They just don't have the skilled labor required. Odd that the passport stamp at SKB says...."You will not seek gainful employment". I was offered a job....right there....immediate hire. If I did not have an operating construction company here in the states.....I would be on Kitts right now. Don't get me wrong. I love St Kitts......the people, the island, the food. Marriott at Frigate Bay claims to be a 4 star. I'm here to tell you that I question that claim. freeflyin Feb 11, 08, 9:33 pm Don't waste your Marriott points at Frigate Bay. Marriott at Frigate Bay claims to be a 4 star. I'm here to tell you that I question that claim. I just returned from my stay at the Marriott and I am afraid I must agree with this poster.I am generally a loyal Marriott customer, but this is a property that I will not return to again. There were too many things inoperative or simply missing or in poor repair. Housekeeping was spotty at best-often neglecting simply things such as replacing toiletries and towels.Room service trays were left outside rooms for days and trash cans were overflowing at times. The staff was indifferent and service generally poor-for an island that claims tourism as it's main industry I would have expected a more attention to guests.I am nowhere near what would be considered a luxury hotel guest and am usually quite happy with just the basics-this was lacking in almost every category. Half of the garden buildings are being converted to MVCI units-perhaps they will update and repair this property before they are complete-otherwise there will be many disappointed owners as they visit St.Kitts. I did enjoy the island very much and would love for someone to recommend alternate lodging choices. |
