First post on the BMI thread!

If I book a flight and hotel travel package through the KLM website, would I be able to earn miles for the hotel stay with BMI?

I would like to know
1) if miles are credited for travel packages (even when booked through airlines) and;
2) if I can opt for BMI miles instead of FB miles. (BMI is more generous!)

Thanks in advance for your help.

It is a Hilton issue rather than a BD issue. If the rate is eligible for HIlton points, then no problem. Just make sure that you amend your reservation with Hilton and substitute BD for FB. You can do that at check-in or even at any point prior to check-out.
If the rate is not eligible for HHonors points, then no.
Hilton policy (like most hotel chains these days) is to deny points for reservations made through third party websites (except for standard rates available through GDSs). If your rate is not a standard rate that you could book directly with Hilton, then it will not be eligible.

Generally I see that it is a prepaid package rate which means that it is a negotiated rate with the hotel which means no points.
