Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Asia miles redeem JAL ticekt cost long time

I redeem round trip between BNE-NRT.Because this is operate by JAL.So need send paper ticket.While after 10 days still no deduct miles from my account.When I call MPC they said because lots of people need issue tickets still need wait.They can't guarantee that I can receive before 15/6.While my trip is on 20/6.

why need cost long time receive JAL reward ticket?
before redeem CX and QF ticket receive within 10 days.
anyone have experience that how long can receiv JAL paper ticket?

Asiamiles should not have taken booking and then tell you that you may not receive the ticket in time. If you booked at least 14 days from date of departure, Asiamiles/MPC has to issue the ticket for you, and then courier it to you at their cost.

The final option is to pick up the ticket directly with CX office at airport. They DO have authority to issue award ticket, but much prodding is required from you to ask MPC to do that. But as far as I know JL is e-ticketable with CX, so are you sure that the tickets are paper?

Its really strange,The first staff told me JAL is paper ticket.and ask me give them the address.

second time I call them confirm did they actually issue the ticket.He said after June JAL using E-ticket.

While I call again today,MPC told me still using paper ticket.So until now I don't know which is right?

I can not pick the ticket at airport.Because I am at Sydney but the ticket is redeem to my friend.Its no different they send the ticket to airport or send to my friend.

But still confusing why redeem award ticket cost so long time.

Asiamiles is so strange to ticket the booking so so slow.. Even with Cathay pacific award, they are so slow to issue the ticket. They will postpone not urgent bookings for 10 days or more. My friend who worked in airline said the ticketing process is easy and costs less than 3 min because computerized systeam nowadays. I guess Asiamiles has different apartment for ticketing.

My personal experience:
1. On-line booking with Cathay is quickest and immediately ticketed in one hour

2. Booking through the phone unless u are depaturing in less than 5 days. They will always postpone ur ticketing process to more than 10 days. Espeically before peak season.

3. Call them again and express ur anger. They issued the ticket one hour after my complaint.

I am worry that my friend booking got problem.Because I check the seat availability there is no any seat on the depart flight even J class.So I am pretty that flight is over booking.lost patient in this case.My friend is doubt that am I actually redeem ticket to her?
