Hi

I am going to Europe in a couple of weeks ,

The question is do I bring my laptop ?
I will have my own car as I am driving around and can bring my car charger,

But will I be able to log in thru WiFi ?
Do truck stops have free Wifi for the truck drivers ?

It would be nice to stay in touch , but dragging a notebook computer around is also a hassle , even though I have a car to store it in when I am walking around.

I will only be gone for 2 weeks so its not the end of the world if I am not online,

what do you think ?

I have not found much free wi-fi in Germany and the Netherlands and hotels typically charge 20-30 euros/day. Occasionally I do a scan and less than 1-2% of the time do I find an open network. I believe it is because most installations are done by the telephone company and they always install password protection. Fortunately many internet cafes are in most cities but rare in the small towns.
