I am looking at flying OZ from JFK to HKG , flight 221 departing at 12:30am, and while I am well aware of the older-style J seats on OZ's 744 aircraft, I just noticed they do not seem to have any in-seat power. Is this so?
I got burned on KE from DFW to ICN (ICN-HKG) with having no inseat power in J, which makes doing....well business....impossible in business class and do not want to make this mistake again on the long haul.
No other *A carrier gets me from JFK to HKG before noon (+1 day) which is why I am looking at this flight.
Any info is appreciated.

Sorry, these have no power, horrible video, poor seats, and are really something out of the early 90's. The FA's are great, but the experience is really not up to international business class standards. They are adding new seats slowly, first to the 777's.
Good luck.

According to Asiana website, only J seats of A330 and selected 777 (HL7742/7739, I think) have inseat power.

Thanks for the info.
This is the info I found the web site :

" * In addition, business class in B777 and B747 is equipped with satellite phone and facsimile for smooth communication with the ground. SMS service is also available. In addition, the PC power outlet is installed for each seat, so that the passenger can carry out personal business during a flight."
But nothing else I have seen or found indicted power in 744 seats.
Do the seats at least have leg rests so I can lay back and sack out on the 15hr flights......or should I bite the bullet and fly out on KE crediting the miles to NW (rather than either UA or US , which I prefer to fly and give my miles to)

There wasn't last time I flew.

Leg rests, but not that good. I'd still go for OZ, I think, for service and general atmosphere

747 J seats have a footrest but it is useless as it is too short and does not extend far enough. No power supply.
