This review is old as I travelled in mid May. I went into JFK on Etihaad on economy from Bombay. The flight upto Abu Dhabi was on A 330. Inflight system is decent and is VOD. As it was late did not eat food. The surprising thing is that for some reason they did not issue boarding passes for JFK from Bombay and there was another verification at Abu Dhabi airport after which boarding passes were issued. It seems they do this for most North American flight as there was chaos all around the transfer at this time of the night.

The flight was half empty and so we were lucky to get the middle row of four. But here is the best part. The middle handrest does not go up and so you cannot lie down and sleep with your legs straight. I wonder why they would do this. The food was quite average and service was also average at best. In a 14 hour flight they served 2 hot meals altho throughout the flight there were snacks available at the galley. The inflight is video on demand and has a decent collection of movies altho nothing compared to Emirates. Arrival was half hour late.

Overall decent value for money as during this summer Etihaad had one of the best deals flying into the US from India. But as eco passenger dont expect much from either the food or service.

At prices 30 to 40% lower than most airlines and much more decent arrival/departure at both ends, it is not bad at all.
