Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - SAA website to be down tomorrow 3 June

Just got off the 'phone with the SAA call centre.
A very friendly and helpful agent told me that flysaa.com will be down tomorrow for an upgrade. ^
I did read in the new Sawubona last night that the site will be upgraded to be more in line with (I think it said) European airline sites.
So that should be good news, maybe we will now get the booking functionality we all have been waiting for. Also, some decent in-flight information would go down well, especially for folks who have not flown SA before.
The old site is notoriously unappealing, lets hope the new one 'rocks'.

the worst thing about the old site is trying to check ticket prices / awards etc. - you choose a date - and then want to try a different date - and have to start the entire process from scratch - very frustrating.

I mean that site hasn't seen a meaningful upgrade in... gee, I can't remember! It just burns my @ss that they can't even keep their route map up to date from one year to the next. :rolleyes:
