SFO-JFK (ps) - FRA (LH) - LEJ for big goth/industrial music festival, then LEJ-FRA-SFO (UA) all in F. Thoughts.
Getting up at 3am for Super Shuttle sucks. PS flight was great. Food was good, S&P shakers, silverware, porcelain, and attentive FA's (started off with a gin & OJ for pre-dep bev service  ) Didn't use the IFE but seat was great. No nuts but hot towels. The pax were an unremarkeable bunch with my seatmate in a baseball cap. Truly first class.
JFK was ehh and the LH lounge also ehh. F on LH 747 was nice, but was in the upper deck. LH F seats not nearly as nice as UA F suite, but they gave out PJs. Food outstanding. Too short a flight though. Swear they slowed the flight so as to be able to give F and C two meal services. Scotch selection limited to Talisker and Johnnie Walker blue  Wow that is some awesome scotch. Arrived at FRA pretty exhausted. LH F terminal is amazing. :) They actually had the scotch "Vat 69" if any Band of Brothers fans recall it. Not bad (but not blue).
Return on triple 7 was also great. In fact, one FA and I both sorta stared at each other -- "you look familiar". Changed from 2E to 3J in Leipzig (I figured the phone switch to 1J never occurred, and I was right) and I think I may have been the only one in F at that time (7 hours earlier). F had an older FA crowd but were quite good. I was dressed in a gold-patterned vest over a black, colared shirt (i.e. nicely) which they appreciated. Early on (maybe before taking off), I went to C to use the lav b/c the front ones were carted off. When I returned, an FA on the other side addressed me by name (Mr. Javan69, we've been looking for you. What would you like for dinner?). I explained that I had gone back b/c of the cart and she seemed impressed that I understood it. I remarked that you don't make 1K without paying attention and she smiled. Ate, drank, and slept very well. In fact, the FA who was serving me pretty quickly learned not to waste time asking if I wanted food -just pile it on. A bit heavy with the salad dressing though, but she gave me an extra salad so I mixed it all. Had the filet which was nearly perfect. Good champagne and a great 2004 bordeaux called "Beaune". No blue so I had to settle or Glenlivet. We got in early so had to go around a bit - Ch 9 rocked on that! ^ I felt pretty darn spoiled by the whole thing.
All-in-all, a great way to justify accumulating 120,000 miles.
