OK - so I didnt read the fine print. I flew F9 quite a bit a couple of years ago when I had a project in the NW. It was cheaper to fly to DEN on my usual CO, and flip to F9 for my ultimate destination. Really liked the airline, but its been awhile since I've used them, or my ER account.

I signed into the website today to actually use the miles I had saved up for a family vacation. They've disappeared, and I saw a note at the bottom of the webpage that miles will disappear if you have two years of account inactivity. I think this happened to me.

Has anyone heard of, or know of a way to get them reinstated? Is this something F9 does, like WN does? ANY help will be appreciated, current prices for flights anywhere near Montana (like GEG) is running over $1000.

Hmm, interesting... I'm not sure if Frontier had expiration of miles 2 years back. I have had 7,000 or so sitting in my account since June 2005 and don't remember them saying they ever expired. Your best bet is to probably find out what the terms were 2 years ago and see if they pulled a fast one by changing the terms.

I'm no Frontier expert though, hopefully someone else can chime in. Since the activity here seems low I thought I'd chime in anyway.

i went through this same situation last year.
at some point between 2002 and 2006, the ER program changed and it doesn't appear people were notified. i called ER 2-3 times and finally got my expired miles credited for my wife and i. can't remember off hand how long the miles used to last, but shortening to 2 yrs seems critical enough that it should've been plastered all over their website, sent in mailings, emails, etc.
i would definitely try to call if you had enough miles worth getting back. for us, it was 11K for my wife and 16K for me. they should be able to access all your flights and determine the amount of mileage. good luck!

The CSR (Ruth) was sympathetic, and said she'd put in a request to management. We'll see. Airplanegeek - were you "agressive" in your approach, or did you beg? I went the begging route...........

The OP is a separate story, but I suggest you get some "activity" within the next half year. Per the fine print at the bottom of my online statement details page: "Reward miles expire at the end of the 2nd year if the account does not have any activity for a 2 year period." (My underscore.)

Ie, the only reason your 7000 miles haven't expired yet is that your last activity was in June of 2 years ago, and so (if you have no more activity) they will expire at the end of this year. The OP presumably had their last activity toward the end of 2004, and so they expired at the end of 2006.

I'm pretty sure this policy has been in place for quite a few years. I don't remember it being any different, and my only Frontier flight so far was several years ago, and then still several years ago I got their credit card and did a balance transfer (so I"m now slightly over 12000 miles). Every year toward the end of the year I make a small charge on that credit card (which is fee-free, so I don't mind using it only once a year), and that "refreshes" my account for two more years.

not aggressive, and no begging. just simply shared my confusion. as i stated above, the expiration changed at some unannounced point since enrolling in 2002. miles originally lasted either 3 or 5 yrs (don't have it handy), and now only last 2 yrs (unless there is activity).
and to confirm the previous post, miles expire 12/31 of the year you hit 2 yrs w/out activity...so there is a 1 to 364 day grace period. :D

Still no reply from the queso grandes. I can guess what their answer is, but still, it would be preferable to get a "no", than dead silence...........

Gonna try again.
