Southwest Rapid Rewards - some advice please...
I have been watching fares for BUF-LAS on either June24 or 25 return June 29for quite awhile now.It seems the low fares are all unavailable and the price I'm looking at for 2 right now is $1070, a tad higher than the $200-$300 pp I usually pay for this flight.Seems there is still lots of availability on the flights, just pricey.
Any predictions on wheter the prices might come up as a Ding or more availability might open up? I have not had this happen before and it is only a couple weeks away now and I'm getting anxious to book.

All I can recommend is to purchase the tickets so you have them, and then cancel and rebook (keeping the difference as a credit) if the fare drops between now and your travel dates.

You asked and got an answer there.
Yes skoker, thanks for your help. I was hoping someone who follows Dings might have a bit of a glimpse of whether there is a pattern or a chance it might go on there anytime soon. The one reply I recieved last time was noted.
Thanks for the suggestion curbcrusher. Looks like that is what I'll end up doing.

Looks like the problem is getting out of Buffalo. ie. From BWI to Vegas is not bad for the cheap fares.
I know in and out of Vegas can be expensive. Sometimes cheaper to get a tix from Midwest to PHX and then another tix from PHX to LAS (although may be more time consuming).
Same is sort of true often. I just bought a tix from STL to DAL and another from DAL to AUS for cheaper than I could from STL - AUS (with stop in DAL)!
And, as different reserv., I get 2 RR credits instead of 1!

I may be misunderstanding you, but Midwest does not have service to BUF.
(I'm BUF based, FWIW)
Have you tried using Shortcut? I was able to price out a trip at $949 but changing the days +/- a day.
