MilesBuzz! - Free Shipping on Most Orders at homedepot.com (great for airline mall mile mongers!)

I just thought it may be a useful tip to let people here know that currently, Home Depot is having a free shipping deal going on for most orders on their site over $49.

I got an email that started out as follows:

This is especially good for people doing airline mall transactions and any of those in conjunction with any promo going on right now. I mentioned this info in one of the NW threads I frequent, but it IS mileage specific seeing as how all of the airline mall portals have HD as one of their stores to get mile boni from.

And no, I do not work there. I sometimes think I ought to just live there though, seeing as how I frequent my local store so much for all the home improvement I have been up to in the past 22+ months and growing. This would beat having to go in soooo much, and I'd get more miles by ordering things that come with extra miles in the shopping process!

if there are other common/big chain airline mall stores that people know about, I guess post here too. I know many of them have free shipping on things over $50 (like Staples, etc) but HD is often a place I'd spend thousands so it's even better for people who do that in here.

Although it's not Home Depot, and it's not free shipping, I like the offer from Sears (wich is on some airline mall sites). You can order online, pick-up at the store and get miles! :D

Thus, you can get miles for small items - but you have to pick them up at the store. You were going there anyway!

I received (IIRC) 33 CO miles for a bottle of cleaner for my distiller! :D (I would have gone to Sears anyway!)

best buy also lets you buy online and pick up in store. I love that feature and more stores should do it.

I tried HomeDepot to get a new sink. Stated delivery time was 7-10 days. I ordered on the 3 and finally got it on the 24th. Not exactly good service and I had a terrible time getting anyone to even check on it.

IIRC (although I never tried), I think Radio Shack allow free shipping if delivered to the store, and you can pick it up there. But you can't order it today, and pick it up today, like the other stores.

I hope I'm wrong.
