Thanks for posting, but am I the only one that is getting tired of trying to rember all the promos to book with? Whatever happened to registering for a promo and system keep up with it.

...and you’ll receive an American Express® - branded prepaid card...
Any idea as to who and when you "receive" the prepaid card from? From the HGI one is staying at on checkout; or HHonors/Hilton corporate/AMEX corporate later in the mail?

A little OT but Marriott sent out a similar but $50 and $100 off Visa promo yesterday. Hilton is looking a little lame in the promo dept.

This is great!

I booked the Hilton Garden Inn in DC Downtown for July 4-8th at $119. I thought that was a great AAA rate since other weekends were $300 at most area Hiltons. I found this promo listed for the hotel. With this new promo, it makes for a nicely priced vacation!

This is similar to the OAXM promo that was run last year; however, that one got you a $50 Amex card for staying Saturday and Sunday (consecutively) at an HHonors hotel. The card arrived in the mail several weeks after you earned it. (I got a couple of the $50 cards through OAXM and spent them on other stays.)

This OPEN promo is less generous, but more flexible in terms of what nights of the week you can stay.

Am I reading this correctly that you only have to stay one of the nights on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday and the other one or two nights can be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday? I am getting ready to book a 3 night stay that begins on a Sunday. I should get a $50 card for that. Right?

Thanks for this info.

I tried to book an upcoming trip with the "OPEN" code and it bumped the rate by $25. No deal there.

I don't remember the OAXM award. I need to be enlightened on what makes the OPEN promo less generous. Doesn't $50 = $50? What am I missing?

It should already have been clear from my prior post, but here goes:

OAXM = stay 2 qualified nights, get $50 card

OPEN = stay 2 qualified nights, get $25 card; or stay 3 qualified nights, get $50 card.

Hopefully, I don't need to explain that $50 > $25 and that 2 nights < 3 nights.... :D

(Also, the OAXM promo was doable at most or all HHonors hotels, but OPEN, thus far, seems doable only at HGI.)

Has anyone received a GC from this promo yet? The T&Cs did not specify when they would be sent.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't seen it. I made $400 in cards on the OAXM and used them for a recent stay. I look forward to doing it again!

Still wondering if anyone received a GC yet. I had a qualifying stay back in June and have not received anything.

Has anyone received any of these cards?

I had multiple 3 night stays (all of which included either a Sunday or Thursday night), but Hilton is denying that my stays were qualified, as I did not have at least 2 nights (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun) on each trip.

Thanks.

In my case, no, the rate didn't change.

So far, I've had three 3 day stays and one 2 day stay over a weekend. I got 3/4 cards. I'd say it takes 6-8 weeks to get them in the mail, so it is quite slow, but they did come. The bigger issue is redeeming them. 2/3 people had no clue how to do it and asked me how it worked. I gave them the paper that came with it and told them it was their job to figure it out. Once, the manager had to call someone else to figure it out.

Good to hear someone has actually received the GC. I still haven't after 12 weeks.

BaliParis,

If you don't mind me asking, what days of the week did you stay? In my case, my 3 night stays started on a Sunday, and although the T&C of the promotion stated "a stay that includes a Thurs, Fri, Sat, or Sun night, Hilton has interpreted that to mean that at least 2 or 3 of the nights must have been Thurs-Sun, so my claim was denied.

It was a 3 night stay - Thurs, Fri, Sat. Hilton states you should receive card. Amex states they have no record of name, request. It seems to me this is a case that should be very easy to fix.

I haven't received mine yet either and it is approaching 12 weeks.I just got mine, they mailed it to my company address for some odd reason.

It's a 25 "point" prepaid gift card, expires 05/08.

I got it for a 2 night stay October 20th - 22nd.

The fine print on the card will say that 25 "points" = 25 dollars in value. (And that it's redeemable only at hotels in the Hilton family.)

(Not sure why they use the "points" terminology on the card, but the same thing was true of cards from the OAXM promo.)
