Hilton HHonors - New Survey re: AMEX/Hilton

Got it in my email today. No points for me, but a donation to charity from AMEX.

Looks like they'd like to roll out a new Hilton AMEX. Lots of options - various fees, different point earning levels, new stuff like discounts for redemptions and so on.

Anyhow, I took the survey. This is my third one in the last couple of weeks, so maybe I'm on someone's sucker list.

I have done the survey as well. I like the possibily of 6 bonus point on hilton and everyday purchases and possibly earning base points with spending.

Airline Matching Status, 5,000 point bonus for transferring 20,000 points to airline,

I also appreciate the 5% - 20% (I believe possibly only 10%) savings on award redemptions--hoping this does not eliminate the AXON

There is NO such 5,000 point bonus. That is a Starwood benefit, not Hilton.

True, I was referring to the survey that was distictly asking about new ideas and one was transferring HHonors points to airlines for miles. I am not sure how that would happen--points would have to be adjusted in some way

for example Starwoods points transfer 1 to one with the 5,000 point bonus for 20,000 transfered Hilton point are differently valued (I am sure that 20,000 HHonors points would not equal 20,000 miles)

This is all conjecture off a survey anyways.
