Hilton HHonors - Corpus Christi TX HGI

Does anyone know when exactly this new property opens its doors?

The Hilton website says "June 2007" but they're still not taking reservation.

Just checked in today. There's still a bit of minor construction going on in the building during the day, but not anything too major or disturbing. Overall, a very standard new Hilton Garden Inn, but quite nice. One thing I found nice is that the room not only has a LCD flat panel HDTV, but there is some actual HDTV content, including HBO and some of the pay-per-view movies. While the TV itself is not that unusual, it seems that most hotels that have them don't have any HDTV channels, and sometimes some of the stations don't even have a good analog signal. The hotel's location isn't bad either. It's right on South Padre Island Drive, but sits far enough back from the freeway that noise isn't an issue. Quite a few restaurants are close by, and it's maybe a 10 minute drive from the airport.
