Starwood Preferred Guest - Newb questions regarding comped Starwood plat

OK, So I was comped starwood plat status until 2/08 from some promo involving the Delta SkyMiles program.

Part of the promotion includes 5000 SkyMiles for my first starwood stay and 20,000 miles if I stay 10 times before February (not gonna happen).

The promo stipulates that I need to have automatic transfer to Delta miles setup on my starwood account to get the miles. After signing up my conf. email stated that I was all set, and all I had to do was complete a stay. I have looked at my starwood account and my delta # is in there, but there is no way for me to tell if I will be automatically credited to DL for my upcoming stay at Sheraton Sunnyvale.

I'm fairly certain that it has already been set up for you that way, but if you want to check to be sure, call 888-625-4991 and ask them if your account is set up for Direct Deposit with Delta Air Lines SkyMiles.

This was an unsolicited direct mailing (targetted) that I received from either Delta SkyMiles and/or SPG. Complimentary SPG Plat for about 10 months with SkyMiles bonuses for Starwood stays. I was targetted either because I have an AMEX Plat SkyMiles credit card, or because I am Delta Plat.
