Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Frecuenta program rules (??)

Are the rules for Frecuenta explained somewhere on the MX website, I cant seem to find them. Im wondering if you can qualify for elite status on segments rather than on mileage.

Although it's not located in T&C, it can be found at the Level Recognition page.

Frecuenta Gold
It is necessary to accrue 50,000 miles or traveling at least 80 times with Mexicana and Star Alliance partners in a 12 month period.

Frecuenta Silver
It is necessary to accrue 31,250 miles or traveling at least 50 times with Mexicana and Star Alliance partners in a 12 month period.
