Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns - Seat assignments and online check-in ? Thanks.

I will be on my first F9 flight to SJD from SMF. Right now I have a window seat. Looking for a aisle seat. I've called but nothing is available now. On the return I have an aisle seat on the last row. Not perfect. If I check-in online 24 hours before departure I more seats shows available such as the front of the plane. How early should I arrive at SMF to get an aisle seat if that is necessary? Thanks.

Also not a frequent F9 flyer flew round trip today DEN - LIT on-line checking got me better seats than I had. Checked in 24 hours before departure and moved from second last row window to row 1 and 2 (return) aisle.

Some seats will be available when you check in online 24 hours before your flight departs. Airport checkin starts 4 hours prior to departure, so you could request a seat that is locked for airport checkin when you arrive there.

The kiosks are usually available at that time too, but I don't think F9 has any kiosks in SMF - only DEN, DCA, LAX, SFO and possibly another city or two.

don't forget that F9 blocks a fair amount of rows until within 24 hrs of departure or even until airport check-in.

F9 was ok. My ticket was not able to check-in online. I was able to call and a sup got me a seat towards the front aisle. At the airport which I arrived two hours in advance I was able to get 10C exit aisle. My buddy arrived later and got 10B. Fortunately 10A was not assigned so we had the whole row. SMF does not have a kiosk which was fine. The flight was uneventful and a bagel was served.
