Hilton HHonors - Free WIFI in Bangkok and HuaHin?

As a diamond member, will there be free wifi available in the room (or the lounge?) As I am soon leaving for a three week family vacation to Hiltons in bangkok and Hua Hin, I would appreciate the information about whether I should bring the laptop or not.

If yes, will I receive the username/password at the time of checkin or do any of you have another way to ge acess to the free internet (as was the case with Hilton Phuket, at least last year).

The internet is NOT free...and I find it quite expensive considering the area. I find that the Hilton properties in Bangkok are way, way overpriced and I would not recommend staying there unless on an award. You can get similar quality hotels in the $50-60 USD range.

Or you may want to try an even worse hotel...it kinda can go with the bangkok experience. ;)

No, internet access is not free, but relatively speaking it's not actually expensive, plus the actual hotels in both BKK and Hua Hin are very nice and certainly not overpriced compared to the usual suspects (dreary Marriott/Starwoods etc.) :confused: There are, of course, similar properties at similar prices and as a lowly HH Gold have got upgrades to Exec floors/suite-type rooms for 100% of stays in Thailand ^ I personally think Hilton get an unfair critique in Thailand for VFM, though that's just my opinion of course....:eek:

In the lounge at both the Conrad and Hilton the wifi is FREE. At least it was in January. I paid for in room internet access at both.

This is correct...the exec lounge has free wifi (at least at the Hilton Bangkok). Thanks for adding this info...I forgot about it!

Is there a lounge at Hua Hin and is wifi free in it?
