Maybe of interest to some here is the news that Solomon Airlines has acquired by 'wet lease' an Embraer 170 and will be offering a daily service between BNE-HIR (Honiara).

I had wondered why my flight times for later this year kept being changed, keeping the TA on her toes! I just hope that this doesn't send IE into the red and oblivion, that country needs a break. At least now there will be a new plane instead of the crappy 737s that have been plying the route of late.
