Both flights are listed on the 777. How do I find out whether I will be getting the new J class? Thanks for the help.

I just flew ICN-HKG in J 3 weeks ago and the seats were newer, but not the newest ones that they are using on the transpac flights. patchan8984 May 10, 07, 3:41 pm I thought HKG-ICN was 3 class but sold as Y and C. I need to get seats assigned and was hopign for F but if they have new seats even better. Was wondering if there was a US based phone number I could call? makin'miles May 10, 07, 6:05 pm It too would be interested to know if the daily 777 SFO-ICN can be counted on to be the new seats. woohyong May 11, 07, 2:31 pm Was on OZ721 ICN-HKG day flight last week and it was equipped with new C seats. I'm not sure if it was just an irregular thing. Carfield May 14, 07, 3:29 pm There are three 777s with new seats (one without AVOD, but normal PTV)... Anyway most of the times, the new 777s will be used on the SFO/SEA flight, and the third 777 without AVOD will be used on the evening thrice-weekly LAXHKG flights. However, aircraft sub happens all the time, but I am pretty confident that SFO will see mostly new 777s. About ICN-HKG, that... I am not sure... but the evening and redeye ICNHKGICN flight is (or soon to be) operated by Airbus A330s, which will have the new J seas, and the daytime flight will see a mix of 74E and 777s. Carfield patchan8984 May 15, 07, 2:59 am So the new business suites will be installed on the A330 by January 2008 I assume? Or is the A330 not the new long haul business class that is flown from US-ICN? I will be doing the redeye from HKG-ICN in business on a *A award. Any information appreciated. Thanks |
