bmi diamond club - Transfer at LAS question

We will be flying SNA-LAS (US in F), connecting to LAS-BMI-GLA (both bmi in C) in July - all on the one ticket. It seems that we shall have to transfer T1-T2 at LAS. Per wikipedia there is a transfer bus which runs between the terminals, which deposits pax near check in at T2. Is there any other way to transfer, remaining airside?

Also, any general info re VIP room at T2? Hopefully this is not like most RCCs - $5 for crap beer.

IIRC there is no way to do the T1-T2 transfer airside ( you have to go landside) and use the bus or walk ( less than 5mins)

I was in LAS yesterday (arrived back in MAN this morning) - and yes I confirm you have to go land side. It's not worth waiting for the shuttle, it's quicker to walk!

Are there covered walkways between the terminals (we are transferring at LAS during the July heat)?

There is a small covered walkway outside T1 until the end of T1 but then there is no cover.

The lounge at T2 at LAS is the First Class lounge and only for C cabin not *G/S and is better than a RCC IMHO. Drinks are complimentary IIRC.

You will have access to the US Club before yourn flight as a *G. It is located outside the security area of the A/B gates in T1. When you arrive LAS, leave the secured area and immediately walk left down the hallway to reach the club. Alcohol is not free anymore :(

We will be using the US Club at SNA, but I think we will stick with the free booze at LAS T2, as we are flying in C LAS-MAN:D Is T2 well signposted from T1 at LAS? We only have 2.5 hours to find it and clear security?

Yes. You will have no problem finding your way around LAS, but it is quite a walk, so wear your comfy shoes :) 2.5 hours is plenty of time to transfer T1-T2 and still have a bit of time in First Class lounge. On a side note, duty free shopping at LAS was rubbish last time i was there. 1 tiny shop selling barely anything.
