I had a rental at BOS this weekend. When I looked at the receipt on the shuttle bus the price charged was twice what my paperwork said.

I reserved a Focus and was given a Kia Sportage. I was hit with a fee for the luggage rack.

When I called to get this corrected they insisted I had asked for that car. I was upgraded to it. Also they didn't take the code off that I had for a free day.

Even the hard card from Hertz reflects the correct numbers. When I talked with someone she got the total down somewhat but not what was on my paperwork. Who do I deal with now?

She did say to call back tomorrow and it will be in the computer.

Well, assuming they followed SOP, then the norm is for them to collect your coupon/cert for the free day. When you call in, you should note that they have it and you would like it honored, since they can dig through the paper trail to work it out. If you were on a 9XXXXX code, then tell them it was an internet or other non collecting coupon they failed to include.

It was an internet coupon. I did finally get them to remove the extra charge for that day.
