I'm flying LHR-MCT-LHR later this month. I wanted to know which are the best J seats. How are rows 8 and 9? I am currently in row 10 outbound and row 11 return. I'm curious as to which are the best seats for sleeping and service.
Thanks in advance.

Ive only ever sat in row 8A/K both are great. Just remember current A332 J class seats are new generation but are not fully flat as in A340 new gen J seats. As such seat pitch is smaller. its a comfortable 'z' shape setting.
All A332's will be upgraded to fully flat 180 degree in J class.
Enjoy your flights:)

I'm pretty sure that rows 8 and 10 have a window blocked. So if you want to see out of both windows go for Row 9, although row 8 being a bulkhead seat has more legroom.

I always take row 8 in J on A330 - service starts here IME and legroom and spaciousness is great. If on an overnight (I have only done day flights) then traffic/light etc. through the curtains at the bulkhead may cause disturbance. Hope that helps. Avoid the front row in J on A340-300 (mainly intra-asia) as legroom is appalling.
Row 8 A/B,H/K has the most legroom

Thanks for all the great replies. A follow up question: does GF allow pre-reserving row 8?
