The local French-language community college in Ottawa is now running a CATSA (Canadian TSA)-approved college-level course on Air Security, including theory and practice.
What do you all think about this? I think that, although I feel bad for the students who are paying money to learn the program (when I'm sure the CATSA training comes free if you're hired), if it makes for more professional security agents at the airport, why not have a theory course?
Any different than the "law and security administration" programs that local colleges run?
