I believe Iran Air is the only airline left flying the 747SP. I'm looking into ways to fly the 747SP before they are retired for good (possibley later this fall). Anybody know if if Iran Air would let me book a one-way ticket from ICN-NRT? This segment is a continuation from the THR-ICN route. As a US passport holder, orginating this flight through THR is not an option. Although I can fly PEK-NRT, I have to get my travelers visa for China. I want to keep the red tape to a minimum, hence the ICN-NRT (or NRT-ICN) routing.

Since I'm having difficulties with he Iran Air ebooking to check fares and availability, I may have to look at other avenues. Before I spend too much time to no avail, does anybody here on FT know if this is a realistic possibility? Thoughts?

Note that IR does have rights on PEK-NRT-PEK and you can fly the route.

Cheers
