Hi

I have to travel to South Africa for a few days and I'm wondering if anyone here has input on the route. I would like to fly economy, I would like to get it as cheap as possible but I wouldn't mind getting some SAS Eurobonus points either ;) I have gone via London before and that was OK...and I have gone via Amsterdam but I'm not crazy about KLM after they took me home in a 747 cargo version from Malaysia last year. We also used South African Airways a couple of years back via Frankfurt and that was a pleasent experience. Are there any other good route options out there?

LH to FRA or MUC then on SA or LH. LX to ZRH and on to JNB, as I guess the SA option is not available anymore.

Air France? Alitalia? Fly SAS to those cities and connect!

If you want to concentrate on getting your EuroBonus miles, some combinations of Star Alliance carriers will be your best option.

Besides LH from MUC or FRA and LX from ZRH, how about...
TP from LIS
SA from LHR

Hi

Thanks guys. Turns out that the cheapest option for me was to use frequent flyer points to get to London...and from there I will be flying South African Airways to Joburg.
