Picked up the car in Daytona Beach HLE and want to drop if off at Daytona Beach airport instead. Would I be charged more? Both are in the same city and few miles away from each other.

also, what does HLE stands for?

A: Only one way to know for sure. Ask Hertz.

HLE == Hertz Local Edition

Usually a Hertz location that is not at an airport.

Go to Hertz.com and price out picking up from the HLE and dropping at the Daytona Beach Airport.

You may find that the only difference is a drop fee of $35 to $50.

On the other hand you may find that because you agreed to pickup and dropoff at the HLE, they may try and change your rate and add the drop fee also.

If you received the 50% HLE rental special, I wouldn't assume a free drop at the airport even if the two locations share a driveway.

Let us know how it turns out.

If you are using a rate code that requires you to return the car to the HLE, you will lose that rate. Otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue provided you call ahead of time to have your return location changed.

Some HLEs will allow for airport drop-off at no charge in their standard rate. I did this at SJC a little while back. It may have helped that I wanted to return the car on a day the HLE was closed.
