I am flying in to Casablanca on Air France arriving at 10:45am. I am departing on Royal Air Maroc at 9pm on the same day. I am interested in going into town between flights and would like to know if there is any place at the airport to store luggage for the day. I know that Air France and Royal Air Maroc have a close relationship and I can probably check my bag all the way thru but I am a little worried about it being on the ground in Casablanca for almost 10 hours and getting lost. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

having flown in and out of CMN numerous times, i can reassure you that you need not worry about your luggage if checked completely through..

as for storage options, none available at the airport. You can take a train directly from the airport into town, costs a couple of EUR, nothing major and if absolutely necessary u can get of at CASA VOYAGEUR station, they have a storage option available.

Good luck, enjoy your trip, n let me know if u need more info, glad to do whatever i can,

a.

Just out of interest, is it possible to check-in baggage all the way through when not flying on the same carrier?

It depends on whether or not the airlines have an interline baggage agreement...generally if you call and ask if your two airlines interline with each other, the phone agents can find out for you.

Another question to add, are there any lounge options at CMN or RAK airports for Sky Team Elite Plus or FC pax?

The relationship between AF and AT is not that good, as AF sees with a very worried eye AT's successful drive into the Europe /Africa global travel notably with the creation of Air Senegal. This has been enough to put talks of AT joining Skyteam on hold indefinitely. To my knowledge, there is no agreement to admit Skyteam elites in the (excellent) AT lounge (just do not put anything private on the public access computers). This being said, this is Morocco. There are ways to get in.

Do AF C class pax not get lounge access? Wow, you'd think that AF would provide something to encourage travel on its substandard C class product vs. AT's finer product IMO. Do Star Alliance Gold pax get any lounge access?

Please elaborate on the ways to get into the AT lounge;) Sounds interesting!

I emphatically deny that in Morocco you can bribe your way into a lounge or anywhere else... but then what do I know ? :D :D

Don't go above 5 euros !

Flying out on AT on a domestic flight, any chances a smile and a flash of my SkyTeam Elite Plus card will do any good to get in the lounge?!;)
