Budget Travel - Skybus website is up and running
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but the website for Skybus is up and running. They haven't received full FAA certification yet, but they are selling the first 10 seats of every flight for $10 (not including taxes). I just bought two roundtrip tickets to Burbank from CMH for about $80 all included ($40 each).
Check the website for destinations. There are a few quirks such as: a fee to check-in luggage ($5 per bag I think), no outside food/drinks allowed on plane, no 800 customer service line, and $10 each for priority boarding per segment.

No "miles or points" related info here. I'll move it over to TravelBuzz.

Is it intentional that you can't book a connecting flight? The web site only lets you start or end your trip in CMH. Do they want you to book connections separately to increase the revenue from the $10 per flight priority boarding, $5 per checked bag, etc.?

Yup, I think it's supposed to work like the European LCC's. I don't see myself flying it anytime soon, but at least it might help drive prices down for other carriers.

Boy the website is buggy, I kept getting errors when looking around.
Also, it looks like the flight times are less than optimal. 10:27pm departure from FLL. :td:
Help! I've searched their website twice. I can't even see where to try to enter a reservation request. Anybody help?

Seems pretty straight forward, click on "Book a Flight", enter your departure and arrival cities in the box on the right, click on "search flights," select your flights, enter your personal information and book/pay for the flight, your luggage, early boarding, flight notification, and so on, and pray they don't have irregular ops because there is NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL IF YOU RUN INTO TROUBLE!!
Well, maybe that is part of my problem... I have now been to skybus.com four times. On NONE of those four visits do I SEE a "Book A Flight" button anywhere. Link? Disable pop-up blockers? What?

This appears to be a good fit for the FT Budget Forum. Please continue to follow there..

After seeing the story on CNN this a.m. I was wondering how long before the thread shows up here ;) Guess it took a circuitous route :) :)
So now we have skybus and Greyhound ...... er, I mean WN
Look forward to reading the first trip report on this new model of LCC.

It's right on the home page, no pop-up or anything. Do you see a box that has a map of the US with the cities they fly to? Just to the right is a box that asks "from:" and "to:" After you select those, you click on the "Select a Flight" button right below.

4. Don’t call us.
We don’t have a phone number. Seriously. We’d love to chat, but those phone banks are expensive. And a good website like skybus.com is even more convenient.
So not true. Here's Jason's phone number, whoever Jason is (pulled off of whois)

Looks like the ISP. I wouldn't expect any airline help from him...

Palal,
those numbers are not going to get through to anyone who has anything to do with selling tickets, and violates FT's TOS, so I edited them out.
