Hertz - Cars not listed on Hertz.com

Probably a stupid question, but here goes anyway:
I just picked up a car from Hertz at LAX today and while driving to the exit I noticed a black Mercedes CLK convertible in the row of "President's Circle" cars. While the C-Class (usually sedan) can be booked on Hertz.com as part of the Prestige collection, the CLK is nowhere listed and certainly a different animal. How do you guys reserve cars like this that are standing right there but don't show up at Hertz.com and consequently you don't know that Hertz has them at all? Call the station ahead and ask what non-standard, non-prestige and non-special class cars they have?

It might look different, but the CLK is on the same chassis as the C class.

The only way I know of would be to call the location and see what they can do for you. The "or similar" is what it is. I am guessing the CLK convertible is a premium convertible which shows up as the Corvette on the Website.

As I am under 25, there is just no way for me to book these cars...

Not reservable by the reservation center or the local office. The particular in question is a YU and by definition not reservable. At LAX, they're available on a first come first serve basis, upgrades only. Occasionally they're used to meet A4 convertible reservations. Same for the E series and the Audi A6.
If you want one, expect to pay.
FYI-- the Corvettes are their own class.

The 25 age limit only applies to Prestige vehicles. The CLK is not Prestige. If you can find one, and are willing to pay the rate (and the differential), hats off to you.

Yes there is... Get yourself a ticket to Germany, rent a Mercedes, BMW or Audi from Hertz in FRA - for example you can get a C-Class (usually C220 CDI) for € 99 Fri 9am - Mon 9am. Head out for a test drive on the Autobahn and enjoy ;)

What you can do is just book any prestiege class or any car, then call the local office and ask them to reserve it. Most of the time they wont, you most likely have to ask them to upgrade when you arrive.
