Hello.

I'm planning a rtw-trip, and just wonder if it's possible to go from Asia to Africa, and then continue towards Australia?

Let's say my itinerary looks like this:
OSL-HEL-NRT-HKG-JNB-SYD-AKL-SCL-NYC-LHR-OSL

With this itinerary I'm heading eastwards between continents except for my HKG-JNB flight . Is this legal or not?

Thank you.

Not legal. You would be breaking this rule:

113N . 4. TRAVEL MUST BE IN A CONTINUOUS FORWARD
114N . DIRECTION BETWEEN AREA 1-AREA-2-AREA 3.

Not legal in Oneworld Explorer, but it should be valid under Global Explorer fare rules...

Not legal in Oneworld Explorer, but it should be valid under Global Explorer fare rules...Or in most mileage-based RTW products. The restriction is primarily to prevent abuse in the unlimited mileage aspects of OWE (do any other unlimited mileage products exist any more?).
