A Diamond member since 1993, I was not allowed access to the Business Lounge on two occasions at Chicago's OHARE within the past year simply due to the fact that there is no expiration date on my card... Has anyone else had this humiliating experience?? What is one to do? The Lounge staff were unfriendly and unyielding on both occasions...

From what I remember, Diamond membership with OZ now expires after three years, right? So, shouldn't they have an expiration date in the new card?
I am not sure why UA won't let in *G card holders regardless of nothing having expiration date - since programs offer life-time status to million milers (how would UA expect to see a expiration on these?!!!).

I think lifetime status is actually renewed every year automatically thus card has expiration date?
Smells like an ORD problem to me.
As a MillionMiler on UA, I have lifetime gold on UA. Still UA mails out the membership card always ways too late. Last year, I got it in May, this year in April. Hence I was without a valid card for 3 months last year and for 2 this year.
ORD folks gave me a hard time at their own lounge. Despite all UA employees must know that an MM stay Gold forever, they rode the argument that the card is expired.
I refused to show my LH Gold which I also have and had them call a supervisor who them granted the access  .

Has anyone else had problems accessing non-OZ *G lounges with an undated card? My status has expired but I'llbe flying AC/UA early next year.

Well, if this continues to be a problem for you, you can get new cards on-the-spot at the Asiana Miles service desk at ICN (located at the end of the Asiana check-in island). They have cards ready to be printed, and I'm sure all the new cards have expiry dates.
