Hertz - Converting Hertz #1 awards points to frequent flyer miles

I have #1 awards points with Hertz car rental. Can i convert those points into miles for any of the flight service.

It is usually much more efficient to use them for rentals rather than convert them to miles.

I think it sucks that Hertz charges a surcharge for crediting your rentals to a frequent flyer program. Im not sure its worth it to give them my ff# number for short rentals. I dont know though. I havent done the numers.

If you dont rent often though it may be better to convert those miles. the hertz points expire.

Plus, Hertz doesn't charge the surcharge it actually comes from the ft program of your choice. For instance, Southwest charge a minimum of .50 for the renter to have the Southwest number on the rental.

Yes, but you have until the end of the year before they expire to use 450 (500 - 50 for redeeming online) points for a free day versus having to use 600 to get just 500 miles. If you have enough to convert into miles, you can probably figure out a way to use a free rental car day by the end of the year.
