Which Lounge is used in LHR for NZ? I'll be flying with my wife in August NZ1 to LAX arriving from HAM with Lufthansa. We'll be flying PremierBusiness and we do have a 2h layover and 4h on the way back.
Air New Zealand Air Points - NZ Lounge in LHRView Full Version : NZ Lounge in LHR pooh99 Apr 18, 07, 12:42 pm Which Lounge is used in LHR for NZ? Hopefully when the terminal changes happen next year us NZ flyers will end up with a better lounge. My other half was in the RCC at Heathrow recently where some NZ management types were visiting from Auckland and inspecting the place - asking some of the passengers their opinions of the rather nasty choice of food and drink, the sad tatty furniture and the blaring televisions. Perhaps the contract is up for renewal? Kiwi Flyer Apr 18, 07, 2:40 pm On the way over you may not have much time to use the lounge. A T2->T3 connection will eat up much of the 2 hours, especially as NZ1 boards fairly early. My favourite is the AC/SK London Lounge, but you probably wont have a lot of time to enjoy it. On the way back you will not have access to T3 but instead the LH lounge in T2. This is very basic. My very recent trip report (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=674391) has the same connection LAX-LHR on NZ to LHR to HAM on LH. pooh99 Apr 19, 07, 1:21 am On the way over you may not have much time to use the lounge. Thanks Kiwi Flyer, sorry for cross posting, but since it involved LH and NZ I wasn't sure which were the right place. HAM001 Apr 19, 07, 5:26 am As we will have the same connection (HAM - LHR on LH, LHR - LAX on NZ) I wonder whether the bording pass for the onward NZ flight will be issued in HAM or not. (When flying HAM - CDG on LH and then CDG - JNB on SA, HAM check-in was not able to issue the SA bording pass, neither was the LH lounge in CDG - we had to leave the airside and to go SA check-in.) If not in HAM, where in LHR would we get the bording passes? modularmayhem Apr 19, 07, 6:37 am If not in HAM, where in LHR would we get the bording passes? HAM should be able to issue NZ boarding card, but if they cant you will be able to pick up a boarding card at the flight connections centre when you transfer to trminal 3 (where NZ depart). After security there are a group of desks on either side, i believe NZ desk is slightly further down and on the left as you exit secuirty, but i could be wrong. pooh99 Apr 19, 07, 8:14 am HAM should be able to issue NZ boarding card, but if they cant you will be able to pick up a boarding card at the flight connections centre when you transfer to trminal 3 (where NZ depart). Actually the last time (HAM-FRA-SIA-CHC), LH in HAM wasn't able to print a BP for the SIA-CHC leg. But this could be due to the lengh of time between these flights. Same on the way back, I needed to get a BP in SIA. Is the use of all of these lounges (regardless of status) correct? if so :) but I thought you'd still only get access to RCC if you had no * status? jacob_m Apr 19, 07, 9:49 am Is the use of all of these lounges (regardless of status) correct? if so :) but I thought you'd still only get access to RCC if you had no * status? A same-day Star Alliance business class BP should give you access to all Star Alliance business lounges at the departure airport. That's what the official rules say, so pretty much same rule as *G except that you won't get access to any dedicated *G lounges (LH Senator lounges etc).
