In the 777 the two middle seats (B and J) point in opposite directions into opposite aisles. Not for couples.
Having sat in the 777 BP cabin in excess of 48 hours in the last month I cannot really say that there is much to choose between seats. The left hand aisle seats have slightly easier access to the forward toilet, you can get to this from the right hand aisle but have to nip through the forward galley to do so.
If you put up with the craning of the neck issues, it is easier to communicate with a partner sitting "behind" you rather than pulling faces across the aisle.
Unlike the front cabin of the 747, in the 777 the seats do not converge together towards the front of the cabin.
I would opt (again) for 2 window seats such as 3A/4A.

All seat request for my award flight in C
FRA-NRT-AKL-RAR-AKL-HKG-FRA went though nicely.
However the requested 1 AK on AKL-HGK was denied by the system and we are now confirmed to 4A/5A.
Question: Are ! AK not available for award class bookings ( I). or are they given away preferably for AZ elites?
How should i proceed?

I doubt they are reserved for Alitalia's (AZ) elites. Most likely someone put in a request for those seats before you did.

Sitting the Koru room, got 1A 1K for tonight's flight NZ6, using Frecuenta miles from Mexicana. Came over to AKL on the upper deck, service is slower due to the same cabin crew also servicing PE.

I don't have any status with M&M and the flights will be early February and late March 2008.
Most likely somebody else got the seats before you.
