Anyone have any info on the 2007 Amex skylofts benefits?
I have some friends that have booked the 2 bed one, and they asked if they could get an upgrade, they were told there isnt an upgrade option.
Should it make a difference that they booked through the uk? -and is the upgrade pre assigned or only on check in?
Many thanks.

AMEX site lists the FHR benifits:
https://www134.americanexpress.com/travelfhr/PlatCCSGServlet?request_type=fhr&action=4&lang=en&ctry=US&pdtyp=ccsg&cdtyp=plat&fid=5409
A room upgrade when available, upon check-in.
Daily continental breakfast for up to two people.
Guaranteed four o'clock p.m. late check-out.
You'll want to ask about the upgrade when you talk to the concierge/host assigned to you after you book. They will make contact with you when you book a SkyLoft, to arrange for limo/Maybach transfers, and any other needs you may have for your stay. Just ask to see if the upgrade is likely. The upgrade is simple:
booked 1 bedroom suite -> upgrade to 2 bedroom suite
booked 2 bedroom suite -> upgrade to 3 bedroom suite
no upgrades for booking the 3 bdr suite ;)

For Centurion, add a $100 spa credit.
All the PTS benefits should be outlined in the confirmation e-mail that one receives from Skylofts. The upgrade is confirmed at check-in for Plat members.

Bear in mind that there are only 3, 3 bedroom skylofts, so the upgrade is highly unlikely no matter when you stay, but as always, it never hurts to ask!
I've stayed here several times and have been very pleased with my stay overall. Remember, the non-alcoholic drinks in the room (including the fridge) are comp, but anything you order is not!
The room breakdown is this (approx):
27 1 bedroom
20 2 bedroom
3 3 bedroom
2 for wheelchairs (roll in shower, etc)
1 spa skyloft
1 unrenovated 3 bedroom room

odd the Skylofts reps I spoke with last year said most of the rooms were 2-BR and that there were only 2 3-BR.. it certainly makes sense that there would be more 1-BR.
the 2 wheelchair accessible ones, do you know how many BR they have?
and youre saying the occupancy rate for all 3 3-BR is almost 100%? that would be very impressive.

Vegas can skew occupancy rates with their invited high rollers. I'm pretty sure the three-bedrooms are almost always occupied, but nobody's really paying the $6-10K to stay in one and nobody's getting a Platinum/Centurion upgrade. The latter would blow me away if it really happened.

i understand that, but still, they invite / upgrade people to fill all 3 every night?
i thought having the mansion would actually cut down on the 3BR occupancy. although i guess some people might prefer the modern over traditional.
