Need direction to LCCs. alex0683de Apr 13, 07, 2:46 pm Can you be a bit more specific as to what exactly you're looking for? Here is some information that would help: - do you just need a one-way ticket, or are you looking for a roundtrip? - where in Europe do you want to leave from? - where in the US (or Mexico) do you want to go? Or are you looking for the cheapest possible Atlantic crossing? We can probably also help you find that, but keep in mind that you might need to do some travelling to reach the departure point in Europe and to get to your final destination from the arrival point in North America. Add in those costs, and a nominally more expensive, but direct, flight could work out to be cheaper. Oh, and by the way, welcome to FlyerTalk! :) NATIVTXN Apr 13, 07, 3:06 pm Can you be a bit more specific as to what exactly you're looking for? I'm not finding very much in the way of low-cost flights to DFW. It's not really the sort of destination that would attract a lot of leisure travellers. I am finding scheduled flights starting at about 800 Euros (with US Airways though PHL). You can bring down the price a little by flying out of AMS, DUS or FRA, but probably not enough to make it worth the trip to those airports. Cancun offers far more choices of low-cost airlines, but they only tend to be low-cost when you book really far out. I checked a bunch of charter airlines from various starting points in Europe, and they all seemed to be in the 1000 Euro roundtrip range (for ideas on where to look, check out the Wikipedia entry on Cancun Airport - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancun_airport). As far as scheduled airlines go, they start at about 960 Euros - that's for Delta through Atlanta. July is a huge travel month for Europeans - it helps to book early, but even then, flights are more expensive than at other times of the year. emailkid Apr 13, 07, 8:22 pm Trying to get to US in July.
