Hey All,
I'm Ascent with Frontier, but have used up most of miles. I need to get to New Orleans this summer, and prices are far too high.
Was wondering if I can transfer points from my AMEX into Frontier, and then book an award seat on AirTran, using my Frontier miles?
Any thoughts? How is AirTran, I've never flown them?
Thanks,
C

That definitely is an option, but I would call EarlyReturns to verify award availability on the AirTran flights before you make the transfer from AMEX.
I have had only good experiences on AirTran - crews are nice, though seat pitch and width are less than Frontier.

Or, if you have enough points, you could transfer your AmEx points directly to AirTran, per the following:
1. Points accrued in your program account may be converted into any one or more participating Frequent Customer programs, as provided in the following. 1,000 points accrued in your program account will equal 1,000 miles, points or credits in participating Frequent Customer programs, except with the following: AirTran®—1,500 points equal one (1) Air Tran A+ Credit; Southwest Airlines®—1,500 points equal one (1) Rapid Rewards credit; JetBlue Airways—250 points equal one (1) TrueBlue point; EL AL Israel Airlines—1,050 points equal 15 Matmid Points; Starwood Preferred Guest®—1,000 points equal 333 Starpoints®; and Hilton®—1,000 points equal 1,300 HHonors® Points.
