Has anyone here ever used voyager miles to upgrade economy seats on Emirates to Business Class...

Is it possible or is it only for overpriced codeshare flights.

I have not. But as I understand it you must book on the SA codeshare if you wish to use Voyager miles to upgrade.

And, yes, IME the SA fares are usually more expensive than the EK fares. Especially if you are 2 pax and EK is offering big partner discounts in J. In which case just buying J (or F) has made sense for me in the past even though you do forego the tier miles.

Yep we are 2.5 persons:D 58k business class Emirates. 44k Codeshare same flights in economy only to Dubai..Guess I will get a Skywards card with family points option!!
