I currently have an Amex Plat and about 82 TrueBlue points. I was thinking about grabbing a JB Business Amex just to hold onto those point, but I wonder if it's worth it. I would never use the card and only hold onto it just to maintain those points. Anyone have an experience with the JB Amex? Like? Dislike? Don't care? :) Thanks.
I'm a relatively new JB Biz card holder and got one for the same reasons to keep my points from expiring and to earn the extra 25 TB points
Plus unless they've changed the offer, the Biz card (not the personal) offers a $50 credit which iirc, negates the annual fee. So there's really no downside at least for the 1st year.

I got a JB Amex (not a business, just a regular personal card) in the fall of 2006 and at that time, they had a $50 credit and 25 trueblue points bonus offer. The $50 credit offset the $40 annual fee of course so I gave it a go.
As I posted on another board (and was pilloried for), one other benefit I saw was the free glass of wine on every JB flight....which benefit was taken away without notice to customers as of 12/31/06!
My experience is that the points take forever to post in true Amex fashion; it took me 5 months of phone calls to get the $50 credit promised when I signed up; and that while it is worth it for a year or less, it is not worth it for more given the fee and benefits (or lack thereof).
Side note: I fly JB here and there and have really noticed the service has gone down over the past year or so. I would be more likely to keep the card if I were going to fly them more, but seeing how bad it's been, I'll most likely focus my energies on other airlines - the fact is that in every market I've priced thus far (we have 5 weddings to go to this summer!), JB is now equal or more expensive! Bottom line is that from either a points or a price perspective, they seem headed downhill.
Just my two cents. :)
