American Express Membership Rewards - UK Platinum MR Fee??

Hi,

I have an Amex Platinum Charge Card in the UK and see on my online statement this month a £10 'Membership Rewards Fee'. Has anyone else had this? I thought the MR fee was waived for Platimums and was £25 in any case. So poor is the reward/spend ratio compared with other cards I'm reluctant to face a new charge.

I just checked my online account and there is no such item. My £300 appeared at the end of March, but no MR fee.

The precise entry, showing the second line of more detailed transaction information which shows online is this:

"21 March Membership Rewards Fee £10.00
Membership Rewards Fee"

Usefully the more detailed info just repeats the summary 'Membership Rewards Fee'! I will wait to see what my paper statement shows and then contact Amex.
