Does OZ reliably fly a 777 with the new angle-flat C seats on the SFO-ICN route? I am deciding between OZ C or UA C with mileage upgrade to F. I would prefer to experience OZ C for the better food & services in comparison to UA F, but only if it vastly likely the seat will be the new angle-flat C.

On a related question - and I am sure this is a dumb question but OZ's website doesn't answer it - is new C being installed on the 747s anytime soon? I'm planning an ICN-ORD flight in September and want to know if I have a chance...

I believe that to SEA they reliably fly the new C seats. The LAX and SFO 772s are on rotation.

Accoding to Asiana homepage,

new flat C class is operating on SFO-ICN.

Korean language page wass more recently updated. However, the status of SFO-ICN is same.

Flew it on OZ 214 two days ago.. ISM said that the new C on SFO-ICN is pretty consistent now.

This would be a great step forward. I had to survive UA again last week and any other carrier would be a relief.

I flew it yesterday, and I think it was the new product. (Although Seatguru says there are only 4 rows in C with the new seats, and I counted 5). Also, if you are over 5'10" beware: you'll be too tall to use the foot rest so you will have the usual sliding issues when the seat is fully reclined. The configuration of the seat in front makes it impossible to find a foothold to brace yourself.

Yes, I found the same.. but I'm 6'5" so with or without a foot brace, I could barely fit even when holding myself up against the pod in front of me. Def. not comfortable when fully flat (or angled, as it were).

With that said, I found a good position in a slight Z position, with my handcarrier stuck into the foot space as an extension of the otherwise short legrest.

As for there being 4 or 5 rows, the previous poster is accurate in saying that there are the two side seats in row 5 on both the port and starboard side, so disregard seatguru on that one.
