The Caribbean - St Maarten to Saba...customs?

I am considering going from the French side of SXM to Saba or maybe another nearby island. If I go by boat (which is what I would like to do) do I go through customs/immigration in Saba? Has anyone done this from SXM to other nearby islands? Please share your experience! MANY thanks!

You will need to clear immingration however no customs to clear. The entire process should be a cake walk.

Did it by plane and by boat and never had a problem.

Do I get a stamp?
