LH442/443 (FRA-DTW) will be upgraded to a B744 from an A343 on March 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7.

They also upgrade the route to a 744 during the car show in Detroit...

LH442/443 operated as a B744 pre-9/11 as well. These flights operated at 99% capacity during Summer 2002 (thanks, DamilerChrysler), but LH has no plans to upgrade the equipment.
I can't think of any "special" reason LH upgraded the equipment in early March, however. Heavy loads?
