Budget Travel - LLC to Bangkok/Phuket from Europe?

Trying to explore LCC options apart from major carriers for a flight to BKK or HKT in August from London (or any accessible place in Europe). It looks as if Thomson don't fly HKT in August and nor do Condor (from MUC/FRA).

Is there any LCC operating a route into/out-of BKK/HKT? Thanks.

EDIT: I did follow the usual sites for picking up fares but nothing came up. Still asking as these searches are not complete.

AFAIK there is not any LCC that operate between LON and BKK. The only LCC I know of is Oasis Air, which operates from LON to HKG...where I suppose it is easy enough to transit to BKK/HKT via one of the LCC that operate out of there.

If you fly via a normal carrier to BKK/SIN/KUL, there are plenty of airlines that fly between BKK/SIN/KUL and HKT. You might want to check the "other asian airlines" forum for a full list. There have been numerous reports about the few airlines that operate there...i.e. Air Asia, Nok Air, etc.

You could do a trip on a combination of LCC; say London-Istanbul-Sharjah-India-BKK, all of which are well-served by LCC routes. If you're headed one-way, you may find this the best route price-wise.

I looked quickly, and you could do the above route (from Luton) for 126+144+141+240=650 incl. tax on August 1, using Easy Jet, Air Arabia and Air India. You could certainly do better with a bit more search. In the same date range, I see a one-way for 660 on Qatar going to BKK through Doha. Not quite an LCC, but if you can get the fare down to 500, which I think is doable, you'd certainly be at an LCC style-rate.

I think Thomson operates flights (bi-?)weekly LGW-HKT flights till this month.
Re combination of LCCs, the prices are coming up about the same as Gulf Air (around 550GBP) so maybe not worth it.

I remember flying BKK in August some years ago and snapping a 350GBP fare on KL, this year around 650GBP when I last checked. I wonder whether they'll lower the fares in the next few months. :(

oasis airlines lgw-hkg, followed by turbojet sea express (one-hour ferry) from hkg airside to macau (u cannot take this boat after u go through hk immigration), then bus number ap1 or taxi to macau airport, then thai air asia from macau to bkk. this will be cheaper than any other method if u're going one-way.

low-cost carriers tend to avoid hkg because of the high landing fees.

I flew on Oasis from London Gatwick to Hong Kong in January for £261, Jetstar from Hong Kong to Singapore for HK$1559, Tiger Airways from Singapore to Bangkok for S$70. (Fares- return, inclusive of tax)

I do not think there are any budget airlines for flights from Europe to SE Asia, except for Oasis which departs from London. The budget airlines hub in SE Asia appears to be Singapore or Malaysia.

Unless you wish to go to all three places (like I do!), might be a good idea to get a direct flight with a discounted price instead.

I´ve booked a few weeks ago a one-way DUS-BKK with LTU on may 6...
Ticketprice incl. tax was 229,-EUR (156,-GBP/311,-US$)

LTU also serves next to BKK also HKT all year from DUS and MUC.
(well, HKT is always significantly more expensive so it´ll possibly make sense to go DUS-BKK on LT and BKK-HKT on NOK AIR or Air Asia)

If you book early that might be a possibility for you !
(btw. CONDOR serves BKK in winter only)

And DUS may be not too difficult to reach from London... (in terms of $$$ spent - either by train or flight)

P.S.: when checking LTU´s website don´t get confused by the pull-down menu showingalso Koh Samui and Chiang Mai since these are connex destinations with code-share on Bangkok Airways - only BKK and HKT are served by LTU)

At least they offer one-way bookings so that one can combine with a different airline to go back home.

they fly with a 2 h. connecting layover in IKA = IMAM HOMEINI TEHRAN IRAN
arriving there arround 4 am departing from there 6am.
