Make sure you read the terms and conditions on this one, things like usage over 4,000 minutes a month (just over two hours a day) is not allowed, things like that. Not saying it's a bad deal by any means, just make sure you are defining it they same way they are.

There are hundreds of companies with similar offerings. If you use a smaller long distance company, I'd recommend asking them for this service. If you want any advice on this stuff, PM me.

If you have a Nokia mobile phone with wifi, you can get Truphone for it - free VoIP (well SIP actually) calling to many countries around the world.

I use that for my calls back to Canada; haven't had to buy a long-distance calling card in months.

This service has nothing really to do with mobile phones. It is more like a calling card. You dial a calling card number and the system recognizes your callerID to know which account to bill. Then you enter the number you want to call and you are connected.

Their rate chart lists the places you can call in the unlimited mode (1.9 cents a minute) and which places you can't call cellular calls in for that rate.

Its a problem for me too, thing is that over here mobiles are very distinct from land lines, and when you receive the call you don't pay anything (or lose minutes), that money they charge the caller, so most of these companies have to make charges to european mobiles higher.
