Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - Bassinet Fittings in F
WELLINGTON JOCK

Just off the phone to Thai reservations.
They inform me that there are no bassinet fittings in F, is this the case? We're flying from LHR - AKL so they should have the new config.
Can anyone advise if this is actually true?

Gidday. Mixed luck I suspect.
LHR-BKK will be new 744. The seatmap shows a couple of red triangle indicators in front of 1A/1K.

Looks like a mounting lug on this 744 pic:

BKK-AKL will be 346, and no bassinet from what I recall (flew AKL-BKK on Sat). Nothing showing on the seatmap here either: http://download.thaiairwaysthailand.com/Aircraft%20photo%20last%20V/Aircraft%20pic%20for%20schuduale/Seat%20map/A340-600%20%20Interior%20arrangement%20%20Issue%204%200 1DEC05%20_A3_.pdf

346 has no bassinettes. But TG did arrange for a spare seat to be fitted with a car seat. So we ended up with 3 F seats for the price of 2.1. ^
Note that this was arranged ex AKL in the lounge after checkin and due to TG realising they had not informed us (ticket was bought the day before) and we suggested strongly that due to the lack of bassinette we would walk over to SQ.
