Has anyone here experienced a different option other than what you chose as your choice of amemity upon arrival at your hotel? My example is that I chose the "free high speed internet," yet when I arrived they showed me as receiving the 1000 bonus points. This has happened on more than one occasion. The front desk agents were gracious enough to change it on the spot for me, since their attempts to contact the Diamond Desk were unsuccessful.

doubletree tried to give me breakfast vouchers when I was there last week instead of the free high speed internet. They just looked into my account, confirmed I had selected free internet, and that was that. I still had to call in the morning I was checking out to make them take it off the bill...but not sure if that was because they put the wrong thing in, or if it was always like that.

Well, that ruins the whole concept of having that page on the website. I like having benefits laid out for me, but if it's such a problem to actually implement at hotels, then what's the point?

I agree. Have you had a similar encounter? This is a relatively new program, so there must still be some bugs in the system.

I have chosen the free internet option at least 5 times and each time I had the phone or visit the FD to have the internet charge removed.

At an Embassy Suites, with the free internet. At check in I even verified and the clerk said to tell them in the morining that I had free internet as my way option. I was charged for internet, told them at checkout and they said that I did not have that as my option. They offered to change it but I was ready to go. When I got my points there was no 500 my way points so I had to contact the gold desk to get it straight.

Official policy is that if you select the my way option at least 48 hours before check in you wil get that option. Obvioulsy doesn't always work.
