In any case, as the Delta Am Ex double miles promotion has only a few more days (but longer period for United Visa promotion), please consider making charitable contributions now, rather than waiting until the end of the year. You get double miles and charities get your money sooner. Many charities have online credit card donation right from their website, or you can go to networkforgood.org to make a credit card donation online to a wide variety of charities. (Network for Good is separately funded and does not take one penny of your donation for the processing; it all goes to the charity you choose.)
